I’m Becky. Nice to meet you! I live in southern New Hampshire with my beautiful baby boy, Jacob, who is 2.

I’m a voiceover artist, writer, and videographer. I’ve voiced hundreds of TV and radio commercials, tutorials, explainer videos, phone messaging systems, book trailers, voice recognition software development, and even a few jingles. Most recently, I’ve teamed up with two colleagues to create and voice a historic driving app for the island of Oahu. Coming soon!

I’ve created many video news and feature stories for the US Army, the National Park Service, and private clients, and I’ve written articles and feature stories for various organizations over the years. I’m now venturing into publishing and voicing my own work. My full resume can be found here.

I’ve also worked with puppets since I was 15! I enjoy salsa dancing, yoga, biking, the outdoors, travel, and singing.

The Longer Version…

I graduated with a BA in journalism from the University of New Hampshire in 2005 and moved to Israel for a two-year MA in Middle Eastern history at Tel Aviv University. Alas, while Middle Eastern history is quite fascinating, it’s not a money-making field! I left with $70,000 debt and zero practical job prospects, so I enlisted in the US Army in 2007 to be a broadcast journalist (46R), mainly for the student loan repayment program. I was assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team from 2008-2011. I deployed to Iraq in 2009, where I created print, audio, and video products based out of FOB Hammer. I moved to Germany from 2011-2014 to work with AFN Bavaria. I started in radio news and moved to television, creating video stories and commercials.

I left the military in 2014 and founded my company, Secret Sky Multimedia. For over a year, I worked only for myself doing voiceover through a site called Fiverr. I even created a course on how to become a Fiverr top seller. The technical aspects are outdated, but you can access it here for free if you are curious. While I was successful and making more money than I had in the military after seven years, I didn’t understand the ins and outs of running my own business. I was burned out working seven days a week with no vacation time, no sick time, and no ability to set reasonable boundaries for myself.

In Sept 2015, I was hired as the visual information specialist for the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, operated by the National Park Service in Honolulu, HI. At the time, it was known as World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument. Nobody knew what it was thanks to that convoluted title! My job was to take the 500 likes we had on Facebook and establish a web and social media presence for the monument. For four years, it was an honor to work at Pearl Harbor and learn about, tell the stories of, and commemorate the sailors, soldiers, and Marines who lived through or died as a result of the attack on Dec 7, 1941. I helped create video products, audio products, and a new app for the park. I was responsible for website development, social media management, and much more. Thankfully, in 2019 the park changed its name to Pearl Harbor National Memorial!

After four years, it was time for a change. In Nov 2019, I moved back to Germany for a public affairs position with the 21st Theater Sustainment Command to work with the army again – this time as a civilian. I served as their web and social media admin, and I created many video, audio, and print products.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 put an end to life as we knew it. After two years of lockdowns, quarantines, and flight restrictions, I resigned and moved back to my home state with my son Jacob in Dec 2021. Europe will always be there, but time with family won’t. I’ve learned much over the last two years about where my priorities lie.

These days I focus my work energy on creating video, audio, and written products I love and hope others will love, too.
